*Thankful* for an amazing contractor

My Powder Room is a complete mess because I've been dealing with a no-show contractor for a few weeks... but that's okay because my new contractor finished my project right before Thanksgiving!

Powder Room before we bought our house:

and after, with Summer Palace Fret wallpaper. Love.

We are making our usual Thanksgiving dinner: Turkey, Vegan Shepards Pie, green bean casserole... the list goes on. We always have dinner potluck style so the host(ess) isn't in the kitchen all day...and that leaves me time to make some of these festive cocktails.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving weekend.

What's not to love about Lonny Magazine?
Check out a few inspiring highlights from the Fall/ Winter issue.

Fantastic kids bedoom room, right? Love the green desk area with the mini-mural city scape... did you notice the adorable pom pom trim on the curtains?

How cool is that table? No more stray broken crayons. Those kids are going to have their artwork hanging in MOMA someday. Seriously.

I always fall for rooms with organized artwork. Everyone always says that they don't have *any* wall space. That vertical grouping is on a four foot wide wall. We all have little spaces that are ignored and could use some art like this.

I'm loving that little hang out area by the staircase. Equally casual and cool.

Furniture rearranging

I'm feeling a little fidgety lately... maybe because *Winter* is right around the corner so it's almost time to hibernate. Maybe it's because I'm losing my voice from this crazy sore throat of mine.
Well, it's nothing a little furniture rearranging can't fix, right?

I love this headboard my friend found on Craigslist. I painted it Rose Parade by Benjamin Moore. It's a nice alternative to baby pink, and very fun and girlie. The room feels a little less babyish now, right? Peyton is always reminding me that she's *not a baby anymore* and that she will be *5* soon.

some fun paper for her frames:

My mom just gave me this settee and it's perfect for Peyton's room, once I find the right fabric.

The final project in this room: the closet doors

These plain doors will look so much better with a pink and white pattern. Cutting Edge Stencils has the best designs and they are pretty reasonable too.
