Honeycomb and Scallop patterns

Don't you love the honeycomb and scalloped patterns that are popping up everywhere? I found these planters at Home Goods on one of those *unusually warm* winter days and I had to have them.
Spring fever... ummm, not quite yet.

I'm going to finish 2 crafty projects this weekend, one for me and one for my sister's new house. One of them involves 4+ cans of glossy orange spray paint and a lot of patience.  I'll share pictures soon.

Couch hunting

We need a new couch in the Living Room. I think I know my husband's taste, so I put the couches in order of {what I thought would be} his favorite to least favorite... and I was right! Can you usually predict your husband's taste?

It went a little something like this:

Husband agrees with me on this one, but wants to keep looking.
Husband's review: Eh, it's okay.
Husband's review: Too stuffy
Husband's review: "No way. It's a grandma couch."
{I saw that coming, but a girl can dream, right?}

This also lead to spending to much time on Etsy looking for pillows. Sooo many great ones.

his and hers

In the new house we {finally!} have his and hers closets in our master bedroom. They are on the small side... but we don't have to share anymore. It's kinda been life changing.

It has me thinking about taking it a step further with his and hers studio spaces. Nothing fancy, just an area for our computer, my craftiness and painting, and his fly tying and homebrewing. It's hard to find time to be creative unless you have a little space where you can just jump right into a project.

How cute is this desk area? Maybe my little Peyton will get a space like this for homework in a few years.

And for those in a mild climate, wouldn't a craft *shed* be fun?

This one is more my speed:

It reminds me of this house that I fell in love with while on vacation in Healdsburg, California. Looove. {This was in February... can you imagine what it looks like in the summer?}
