How to spend your tax refund... in a hurry!

I had an idea for this post weeks ago. I was going to call it how to spend your tax refund in a hurry, or something like that. There was going to be a little wish list, and at the top of the list would be our bath remodel.

Then a crazy thing happened. For the first time *ever* we owed. {Okay, only a little, but still.} We don't have any credit card debt so we always use our refund as fun money to treat ourselves {so don't judge, kidding.}

Moving on... let's have fun with that wish list anyway, because that's how I roll.

Wishbone chairs for the Dining Room. Love all the vibrant colors.

Anything by Pratt and Larson Ceramics. Really. I'm leaning toward the new Arabesque tile for our bathroom remodel with a penny round shower floor.

An expandable patio dining table would be great too. I'm hoping to have a dinner party once we have tons of vegetables from our garden this summer.

A strange part of our yard gets a makeover

I am loving Smart Gardener, a website I discovered a few weeks ago. The best part is...this site handles all the gardening details for you, from recommending seeds that are suitable for your climate, to creating a layout, to reminding you when to plant.
I started my plan a few weeks ago, and while it's a little early to plant here in Michigan,I'm already receiving reminders with to do lists for my garden. I *can't wait* to start planting.

It's like a floor plan for your vegetables.

Here is the before photo:
This space was an alley way back when, so it's been neglected.

... yes, it's kinda scary... and the retaining wall looks like part of a crumbling ancient ruin.

Now you can see why we need to add a little creativity to the space, right?
I hope you had a great weekend.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend

It's looking like I won't be dying *dozens* of Easter eggs, {I'm vegan} we just might make some of these like last Easter. I will be spending time with family this weekend... my {soon-to-be} nieces and sister-in-law are moving here tomorrow from Idaho. Super exciting. If it's nice out, I think there might even be a little horseback riding too.
